About Alissa
Authenticity serves as the crucial driving force for realizing our full potential and leading a life in alignment with our genuine selves. It entails shedding the weight of historical patterns and trauma, gaining insight into our own story, and ultimately nurturing enhanced inner peace within ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us.
I am in my advanced year to become a somatic experiencing practitioner. I am also trained in EMDR and the HOCI model for developmental and relational trauma therapy (DART). Furthermore, I am certified in Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP), which equips me with specialized knowledge in utilizing cannabis and ketamine in medicine-assisted therapy to help individuals in managing pain and trauma in their lives.
My commitment to lifelong learning informs my work, which is rooted in trauma-focused therapy modalities that prioritize the integration of mind, body and spirit. I believe that our bodies hold our stories, and it is crucial to incorporate body-based wisdom into therapy sessions. With nearly 20 years of experience, I have provided a safe space for healing, self-reflection, and support.
In a fast-paced and challenging world, therapy offers the opportunity to fully embrace and embody both the pain and joy of the human experience. I firmly believe that understanding ourselves and our stories is essential to our healing journey.
